100% NL Further Sharpens Its Music Format

Radio station 100% NL changed its music programming on Saturday, 25 July. Since then, the regular playlist has consisted exclusively of Dutch-language music and English-language songs performed by Dutch artists. The playlist now features only Dutch-produced music, ranging from established artists to emerging talent, and from pop to traditional Dutch music.

With this refined music format, 100% NL aims to strengthen its distinctive positioning, ensuring that listeners immediately know what to expect from the station. The guiding principle is that every song should make listeners think: "Of course you'd hear this on 100% NL."

Just over half of the playlist consists of Dutch-language music. The remainder features English-language songs by Dutch artists. Exceptions are made for collaborations between international and Dutch artists, such as Repeat It by Ed Sheeran and Martin Garrix. Flemish artists, such as Pommelien Thijs, are also classified as Dutch-produced music.

The digital offering also includes the themed channels 100% NL Non-stop, 100% NL Feest, 100% NL '70s & '80s, and 100% NL '90s & '00s.

Spot advertising sales for 100% NL and its digital themed channels are handled by Talpa Media. Non-spot advertising opportunities are marketed by Mediahuis Radio.

My most recent discovery is Caffè Speciale: a blend of espresso, amaretto, cream, sugar, and a hint of lemon zest. Fortunately, it’s only available in Polignano a Mare, Italy, because it’s probably not the healthiest thing for you.
